Here is number two of three for my FMP and here is the blurb to put this film into context:
The over all concept: (first section of this text is repeated from previous post)
We were given a list of graphic communication formats to choose from and then asked to create a piece of work with its content somehow relating back to the chosen format (if that makes sense?)
I chose the format screen based design and decided to specialise in moving image for screen. In order to meet the specific requirements of the brief I began my research into the early days of screen and took inspiration from that time for the titles of three short experiments in moving image.
One more layer to this project was the music. I approached different musicians asking them to choose a title and make a piece of music for it. I didn’t give them any information as to where the title came from, so not to influence what they would create.
The track for this film was produced by Michael Wookey for more information and music from him please visit his website site listed in the credits.
This film has no computer effects used, I had originally wanted to make it with only the use of traditional equipment, but was unable to gain access to what I needed. It was filmed in HD through a prism that I manually rotated. The images you see are projected vintage slides from Hong Kong. I wanted to create the illusion of bringing these still images to life, through the effects created by filming through the prism.

I worked on all other parts of the film.
(NO GRADING OR EFFECTS, I just neutralised the white balance in camera and went with what I filmed)
