Another Fucking Design Student

I left my job as a full time Graphic Designer, to develop and explore areas of work that better reflect my abilities and passion for creation.

I am now one of the thousands and thousands of design students in the UK all facing the challenge of getting noticed in a jam packed industry.

I believe in an equal balance of concept and execution in order to produce work that has worth. Blurring the divide between computer software generated design and traditional hand made processes to create something which can be seen to have depth and layers of process.

This blog will showcase work I produce as part of my degree, self initiated projects and behind the scenes of some of my processes. Basically like all the other fucking design student blogs out there. :)

Now this may be difficult to get across my thinking behind this piece. It is for the letter X of my A-Z and features quotes from the book XXX 30 Porn-Star Portraits by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.

I want to confuse the senses. Perhaps more for men, as in do you look at the legs that make up the X’s and use your imagination to think about who they belong to and then? Or do you read the text and take in the information. Will some people read the text at all?

Sexual imagery is used frequently to sell things that may go unnoticed if they didn’t. Is this good or bad? - Who knows, I think I just wanted to get you thinking and perhaps make you feel a bit awkward?

I Intend to frame this in a large neon pink frame, will post it when I do.
