BEHIND THE SCENES
Shots from the making of my animation ‘Going Somewhere’ for part of my A-Z Of Graphic Language.
The process involved me taping out the pattern on to the wall (which I made up as I went along, like a really big doodle) then shooting it backwards, cutting about an inch and a half from the tape for every shot.
The shoot itself took about 5 hours - a moment of panic ensued towards the end of the shoot as the battery in my camera began to run out. It was a race against the clock to get the last 2 angles shot. I was running in and out of the shot to cut the tape, much like a bleep test. I think it’s time to invest in a spare battery.
